ACT Resources

As of now, students may sign up for the June 13th ACT by May 8th.  Here is a list of ACT resources that will be VERY beneficial to your child when taking the ACT. Remember- your child's score on the ACT is their greatest opportunity to earn scholarship money!!  Also, any student that was registered to take the April 4th ACT should expect an email from ACT with the option to reschedule to June 13th or request a refund.

  • MasteryPrep will offer our LBHS students TWO practice tests.  We strongly encourage all students, specifically SOPHOMORES to take this practice test and take it seriously.  This data may be used in determining ACT Prep class placement.  The TruScore practice tests will be available until May 31, 2020, and student scores will be available until May 31, 2021. Students will use their school emails to get access to these tests.

  • MasteryPrep Bootcamp- this is a virtual ACT Bootcamp miniseries. To help your student score college ready, MasteryPrep will host a virtual bootcamp led by one of their top instructors.  This is a 5 part miniseries where students will learn tips and tricks to boost their ACT scores right from home. A phone dial-in option is also provided. Students can register for any mini bootcamp they would like to attend by clicking the links below. Each event runs 45 minutes.   ** *Please note that max capacity at each event is 500. Registrations provided first come, first served. If they exceed capacity on an event they will provide an additional date**

ACT OPPORTUNITY JUNIORS/RISING SENIORS

LBHS is offering a summer learning opportunity to our current juniors/rising seniors to help prepare them for the ACT.  The current plan for 2020-21 school year per MDE is to administer an ACT in the Fall for the Class of 2021 that did not get to take the school administered ACT during their junior year.  Spaces for this learning opportunity are limited. Registration will be on a first come-first basis. You MUST bring a mask to participate in this opportunity.  Please email Mr. Pepper at daniel.pepper@lbsdk12.com to secure your date and time, and also include which academic area(s) in which you need to focus (Reading, English, Math, and/or Science). You will receive an email confirmation if your requested time slot is available.  Please keep in my mind, space is limited  and you MUST be able to commit to attending the full session (example: June 8-11 from 12-3 pm).

We also encourage you to download the Remind app for ease of viewing messages for the Senior Class of 2021.  Students and parents without cell phones are encouraged to enter an email address in order to get the messages.
