Two people stand indoors in front of a black curtain backdrop. The person on the left wears a blue suit with a white shirt and red tie, and the person on the right wears a maroon dress. In front of them is a colorful arrangement of flowers, including sunflowers and assorted blooms, along with green potted plants. A microphone stand is visible on the stage area behind them, suggesting a formal or ceremonial event.
We are proud to celebrate TWO outstanding Bearcats being recognized among the very best in Mississippi!

Friday in Jackson, CTE Director Patrick Bennett and LBHS Teacher Elizabeth Becker were honored at a statewide luncheon for their exceptional leadership and impact.

Mr. Bennett was a state finalist for Mississippi Administrator of the Year representing District 4 and is one of the Top 4 Administrators in the entire state. Mrs. Becker was a semifinalist as one of the Top 4 Teachers for District 4 making her one of the Top 16 Teachers in Mississippi.

Their dedication, innovation, and heart for students continue to elevate Long Beach School District and inspire our entire Bearcat community.
Superintendent Dr. Talia Lock shared her pride in their accomplishments, saying: “Mr. Bennett and Mrs. Becker represent the very best of Long Beach. Their commitment to students, their passion for education, and their unwavering pursuit of excellence make a profound difference every day. We are incredibly proud to see them honored at the state level for the impact they make in our district and beyond.”
