Yearbook and Cap & Gown Information

Yearbook Sales: Yearbooks will be on sale for $65.00 until the end of the first semester. After that time, the price will go up to $80.00. This price includes your senior’s name on the cover; however, any yearbooks sold the second semester will NOT include names on the cover. You may pay by check at school or online by going to yearbookordercenter.com and using the Long Beach Senior High School Code: 11041.

Senior Baby Photo: We will be putting a baby photo beside each student’s senior portrait. Please upload yours using the HJ eShare app or www.hjeshare.com by using the code lbhs2025. If you only have a physical copy, please bring it with you to your senior portrait and we will scan, label, and return. You may also email it to annualstaff@lbsdk12.com. Deadline 8/25/24

Senior Messages (Deadline Friday, September 27, 2024): One section of the yearbook will include messages from seniors’ friends and families. The cost of a senior message is $25.00 for thirty words or less (excluding a, an, and the) and 50 cents for each additional word. Messages and money need to be turned in to the yearbook staff by September 27, 2024. There will be no deadline extensions.

Cap and Gowns: Caps, stoles, and tassels are purchased and gowns are rented through Balfour for $62 before January, $112 starting January 1st. Balfour also has additional senior items for sale. Check the Senior Remind for Balfour Dates.

Cap and Gown Pictures: (2/4/2025): Jim Owen Photography will return to take optional cap and gown pictures for our seniors. We will supply a cap and gown for the portraits. More information will be forthcoming.

Class Orator Tryouts

Time and Date: TBA

See Dr. Greer in room 205 for specific info. Only graduating seniors may try out. Speakers must prepare a 3-5 minute speech. Participants must email justin.greer@lbsdk12.com to request a Google Drive Link to submit your video and a copy of your speech. Speeches must be of a positive nature of theme (the past) and inclusive of all. Speakers may use cards or manuscripts. Speakers will be judged on: Poise: delivery, eye contact, and gestures Overall Professionalism: appearance (which is established before reaching the podium) Content and Organization of Speech Winner will be notified by email: TBA The orator may NOT change any part of the speech after tryout without direct approval or direction of the administration.

Graduation Update

Graduation is scheduled for May 15, 2025 at 6:00pm at MS Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.

Mandatory Graduation Practice will be at the coliseum at 9:30am. Students needing a bus ride need to report to LBHS at 8:15am.

Graduation attire: Boys—long pants (not jeans or shorts), shirt AND tie, NO sandals, flip flops or tennis shoes. Girls—dress, dress pants or skirt (not leggings or shorts), NO flip flops, tennis shoes or other casual footwear.

Senior Night

Get ready to celebrate what our Seniors have accomplished and their commitments to the future! We will also present yearbooks to Seniors who purchased them. We will host a live event on 5/5 at 6pm in the LBHS Gym.

Scholarships and awards that have been accepted and verified will be announced if seniors provide documentation ahead of time to connie.tucker@lbsdk12.com.

Balloons and messages will be for sale before the event during April by the yearbook staff.

Seniors traditionally wear white dresses or white dress shirts.
