Proud Bearcat moment at War Memorial Park!
A group of five people work together outdoors to install a tall metal flag pole into the ground. They steady the pole and use tools while standing on a grassy area near a chain-link fence, with trees and a white vehicle in the background.

Long Beach High School CTE students put their skills to work this week, installing a new flagpole for the City of Long Beach. Under the guidance of their dedicated instructors, these students planned, prepared, and completed the installation—adding a meaningful and beautiful enhancement to one of our community’s most treasured spaces.Superintendent Dr. Talia Lock praised the students’ efforts, sharing: “Our CTE students continue to show what it means to serve with pride and purpose. Their craftsmanship and willingness to support our city reflect the very best of Long Beach. We are incredibly proud of the work they’ve done to help beautify War Memorial Park.”Thank you to our talented students, their instructors, and the City of Long Beach for this partnership that highlights the power of hands‑on learning and community service.Bearcats make a difference—on campus and beyond.
