Long Beach High School FCCLA Shines at the 2026 State Competition

Long Beach High School FCCLA members proudly represented the Bearcat family at the MS FCCLA 2026 State Competition, held March 30–April 2 in Natchez, Mississippi. Our students competed in a variety of STAR Events, showcasing their leadership, creativity, and career‑ready skills.

Students earning Gold with a score of 90 or higher have qualified to advance to the FCCLA National Leadership Conference this summer in Washington, D.C.—a tremendous accomplishment that reflects their dedication and hard work.

A special thank‑you goes to Mr. Patrick Bennett for his continued support and guidance. His commitment to our students plays a vital role in their success.

All winning students will also receive a two‑year scholarship to many Mississippi junior and community colleges, opening even more doors for their futures.

We are also proud to celebrate four outstanding seniors—Markham Mauffray, Madalyn Winsworth, Phoebe Scott, and Jackson Hobson—who have all been accepted to the University of Southern Mississippi and will begin their next chapter this fall. Thank you for your four years of service and leadership in FCCLA. You have left a lasting legacy at LBHS.

Congratulations to all of our competitors and advisors. Your achievements continue to make Long Beach High School proud.
